Protect What's Vital Campaign
Through the Original Element Foundation, Khalen Saunders has launched the “Protect What’s Vital” Campaign— a national awareness campaign designed to educate and empower families to take control of their heart and kidney health. The initiative is being launched in partnership with the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) and other community health organizations. Heart disease and kidney disease are often interconnected — and both disproportionately affect Black Americans.
“As an athlete, I know how much our heart and body are connected to
everything we do — but for many in our community, that connection is being overlooked until it becomes life-threatening,” said Saunders. “I want this campaign to help families protect what’s truly vital — their health, their loved ones, and their future.”
